About the Club
What is the New Berlin Youth Football Club (NBWYFC)?
- NBWYFC is a youth tackle football club for 5th–8th graders, proudly part of the All-American Youth Football League (AAYFL). We’re a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching football fundamentals, teamwork, and life skills.
Is NBWYFC connected to New Berlin West Varsity Football?
- Yes! We collaborate with New Berlin West Varsity Football staff to ensure a consistent coaching philosophy and player development.
Season Overview
When does the football season start and end?
- Pre-season training: Optional performance training starts in April.
- Practices: Begin August 2nd.
- Games: Saturdays from late August through October.
- Banquets: Held in November for each grade level.
What is the practice schedule?
- August (Pre-season): Monday–Thursday, 5:30–7:30 PM
- September–October: Tuesday–Thursday, 5:00–7:00 PM
Registration & Fees
How much does it cost to play?
- Returning players: $425 per player
- New players: $455 per player (includes custom practice jersey)
- Sibling discount: $50 off per additional player
- Volunteer deposit: $150 (fully refundable upon meeting volunteer requirements)
What is included in my registration fee?
- Helmet (premium, reconditioned annually)
- Shoulder pads
- Practice & game jerseys
- Practice & game pants with pads
- Mouthguard, socks, and belts
Volunteering & Community Involvement
Is volunteering required?
- Yes. Each family provides a $150 volunteer deposit, refundable once annual volunteer requirements are met. Opportunities include coaching, event staffing, and game day support.
Safety & Equipment
What safety measures are in place?
- Certified Coaches: Trained through USA Football and in concussion protocols.
- Premium Equipment: Reconditioned Riddell and Schutt helmets with cutting-edge safety features.
- Acclimatization Practices: Gradual contact introduction with strict live contact limits.
- Medical Support: Certified professionals at every game.
What is the concussion policy?
- “When in doubt, sit them out!” Coaches follow USA Football protocols.
- Medical clearance is required for return to play.
